Craig Gadsby – Director

Craig started working in this industry over 25 years ago. Craig has a background in Refrigeration Engineering and the Design and Build of Mechanical Services. Born and bred in Wellington, Craig is the founder and director of HotChilly.

Michelle Shackleton – General Manager

Michelle has been at HotChilly since 2003. Before being part of HotChilly, Michelle worked as an Office Manager, Personal Assistant, and Operations Manager in other companies in the Wellington area.

Steve Castle – Service Account Director 

Steve has been in the industry for the past 29 years and joined HotChilly in 2009. Steve is a Qualified Refrigeration Engineer who has worked for both national and global organisations. As the director of the Service Division, Steve hopes to introduce proven systems and processes to further expand HotChilly service capabilities.

Shaun Gadsby – Service Account Manager

Shaun joined the HotChilly team in May 2011. With 26 years experience in Property and Facilities Management for both national and international companies, Shaun brings a wealth of knowledge to HotChilly and the Service & Maintenance Division. Shaun is also the only approved Internal Auditor ISO 9000 within HotChilly.

Ben Van Arts – Commercial Sales & Marketing Manager

Ben returned to HotChilly in 2006. He previously worked as a builder and also in our HotChilly manufacturing division. Ben brings professionalism and style to HotChilly and is great at building a good rapport with staff and customer alike.

Sam Matary – Quantity Surveyor

Before joining HotChilly Sam worked overseas in Kuwait near Saudi Arabia. He moved to New Zealand in 1997. Having completed his Mechanical Engineering degree he furthered his education with a Diploma of Business and Engineering Management at Auckland University.

Rolf Westerhuis – Contracts Manager

Rolf has recently re-joined the HotChilly team having worked on and off in various roles from sales to installation since 1998. We are hoping that in this current role, he is firmly back to stay. A certified Plumber & Gasfitter, Rolf has 35 years experience in this field over the Manawatu & Wellington regions.

Dave Brown – Project Manager

Dave has been with HotChilly since 1996. Since completing his apprenticeship in Scotland, Dave has had work experience in Roofing, Mechanical Services, the Petrochemical Industry, and now Project Management at HotChilly.

Mike Renn – Project Manager

Starting in 2008 at HotChilly, Mike’s previous experience includes Project Management with 10 years experience in Virginia, USA. Mike has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has both technical and practical experience in construction.

Fraser Clark  – Senior Design Engineer 

Fraser joined HotChilly in 2008 with over 25 years of Building Service experience including a range of Technical Management skills. Fraser has worked in Engineering Sales, Project Management, Service Management and as a Branch Manager.

Jason Rook – Mechanical Draughtsman

Jason joined the HotChilly team in 2004 and spent the first few years studying draughting part time. Jason is now a firm member of the draughting team, and has developed experience with CAD software.

Natalie Cull – Residential Sales & Marketing Manager

Christine McPhee –  Office Manager

Before Christine came to HotChilly in 2004, she worked in various companies in the Wellington, Napier and Auckland regions. With 20 years experience as a Personal Assistant and in administration related roles Christine brings a wealth of knowledge with her.
